DCM launches racing academy to bridge the gap for next generation of F1 talent

London — DCM has announced the launch of DCM Academy, a disruptive talent development programme specifically built to secure drivers a spot within Formula 1 junior academies. Led by newly appointed CEO, Henry James, the initiative addresses a critical bottleneck in modern motorsport: the reality that winning junior single-seater championships is not enough to guarantee a seat in Formula 1.

Recent data highlights this steep hurdle. Of the past 10 Formula 2 champions, only 7 have ever started a Formula 1 Grand Prix, and only 5 remain on the grid today — including just 1 from the last 4 seasons. DCM Academy is designed to solve this challenge by preparing exceptional talent aged 10-16 for the intake of the most coveted Formula 1 junior academies.
