Launched in 2026, the DCM Academy is the world's first team-agnostic development programme purpose-built to advance emerging talent into the most coveted junior academies of Formula 1 teams.
Since 2010, drivers managed by DCM have captured multiple single-seater championship titles. As our organisation matures, our ultimate ambition remains absolute: to develop and see a DCM driver win the Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship.
The Institutional Reality
Reaching Formula 1 requires far more than raw speed; it demands a world-class, institutional ecosystem. Today, the junior academies of F1 teams operate on rigid corporate playbooks, scouting talent earlier than ever and demanding perfection from the outset.
In response, the DCM Academy provides a comprehensive, 360-degree development framework designed to mirror the exact operational standards of F1 factories. By addressing the performance, technical, and commercial demands of modern motorsport, we scout highly talented juniors aged 10-16 and transform them into complete, grid-ready athletes optimised for immediate intake into F1 junior academies.

Trackside Execution & Mastery
Our core focus begins on the track, where we turn raw instinct into clinical, race winning execution. Because qualifying is paramount to the success of any race weekend, we pay meticulous attention to helping our drivers implement a professional, streamlined framework. This process heightens focus when necessary and promotes unobstructed recovery outside of critical situations.
Trackside, our team functions as our drivers' definitive extra set of eyes and ears, working proactively to identify and resolve errors before they compromise performance. Qualifying is where the most costly errors often occur due to heightened psychological pressure and extreme time constraints of these sessions. We work immediately to embed this foundational framework so it becomes a driver's guiding philosophy and default operational mode the moment they arrive at a racetrack.
Human Performance & Cognitive Resilience
While a driver's most critical moments are spent trackside, the majority of their time occurs away from the circuit. Off-track preparation is where the DCM Academy trains and readies our athletes for future race meetings and forays into more powerful, complex single-seater cars.
Our Head of Human Performance, Simon Hayes, oversees the physical and mental well-being required to meet and exceed the strict physiological metrics demanded by the junior academies of Formula 1 teams. His department implements age-appropriate physical conditioning and reaction-time optimisation tailored specifically to the extreme high-G forces of single-seater racing.
To gain a granular, data-backed understanding of human performance, DCM utilises cutting-edge biometric wearable tech to continuously monitor our drivers' training loads, central nervous system fatigue, and recovery on and off the racetrack. Because the physiological toll of elite racing can be immense, Simon integrates sports psychology to build unbreakable mental resilience.
Recognising that out drivers are developing teenagers, this framework strictly balances athletic refinement with holistic well-being. Simon's department actively manages educational integration, liaising with schools and tutors to ensure that academic excellence is rigorously maintained alongside a demanding international testing and racing calendar. Simon and his team devise tiered physical and cognitive programmes tailored to each driver's specific stage of development, carried out in person from our bases in London, Dubai, and Los Angeles, as well as virtually.
Elite Technical Development & Simulator Training
Under the direction of our Head of Technology, Justin Singh, we arrange regular access to professional-grade simulators in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, UAE, and the United States. This allows our drivers to master complex international circuit layouts and build deep familiarity with vehicle dynamics well in advance of their track sessions, working alongside veteran race engineers and simulator technicians.
To deliver a definitive data-driven edge, our technical department utilises proprietary live-timing analysis software developed in direct collaboration with SAP. Through intensive data mastery sessions, drivers learn to pick up on sophisticated trend analysis and how best to communicate action calls between driver and engineer based on these insights with the clinical precision expected by F1 factory data rooms, optimising performance across simulated practice, qualifying, and race sessions.
Strategic Commercial Management
At the helm of our academy's strategic vision is our CEO, Henry James, who orchestrates the career trajectories and commercial backing of our athletes. Henry and his dedicated commercial team work directly with families to navigate the financial complexities of junior motorsport, leveraging direct investment from the DCM Talent Fund alongside DCM's extensive private investor network. As a strictly team-agnostic academy, we do not lock young drivers into a single developmental corridor. Instead, we preserve complete flexibility to position them where their strategic progression is maximised.
