DCM Signs British Formula 3 Driving Ace Alex Connor

DCM has signed Alex Connor to its roster of junior racing drivers, supporting Connor’s career development towards competition in a FIA sanctioned Formula 3 series.

Since his debut in single-seater racing in 2019, Connor has raced with Arden International over two seasons in FIA British Formula 4 followed by a third season in the 2021 GB3 Championship, which was interrupted by a case of COVID-19 that Connor has since fully recovered from.

Connor’s 2021 highlight includes three podium finishes from a total of nine rounds of the GB3 Championship, crossing the line in second position at Silverstone, along with a second and third position at Donington. His single-seater performance is further backed by an impressive tally of three race victories, nine podiums, four pole positions and three fastest laps over his two-year outing in FIA British Formula 4.

In addition to Connor’s standout racing ability, DCM also identified unique talent in Connor’s esports campaigns during 2020 and 2021. During the international motorsport shutdown in 2020, Connor competed in iRacing endurance races including Daytona and Le Mans, taking race victories at Le Mans in his split alongside teammates Zak O’Sullivan and Frederick Lubin. Connor is currently rapidly climbing the iRacing standings, attracting interest from sponsors, race teams, simulator operators, event organisers and other groups.

Following three years of research and seven-figure investment by DCM into developing opportunities for its drivers in the esports sector, Connor will become the first DCM driver to be propelled into the world of esports as a means to continue honing his racing skills and to develop a fanbase within a community of 500 million global esports enthusiasts.

As the winter off-season approaches, DCM and Connor are preparing for a game-changing 2022 season that will set Connor on a course towards FIA Formula 3 racing as well as virtual sim racing. Further announcements regarding team signings will follow in due course.
