Sponsorship and brand endorsements require professional experience and resources to secure, deliver and renew year-on-year.
It's a full-time job and we work throughout the year to develop opportunities from preliminary discussions to signed deals for our drivers. Our team has secured sponsorship and brand endorsements for drivers, teams and series organisers with global brands for over a decade. During this time, trends in the market have changed and DCM has adjusted its offering for sponsors and brands accordingly. From the impact of COVID-19 to the turnaround of sponsors and brands investing in drivers, we ensure our drivers stay relevant in the market by providing opportunities that sponsors and brands are looking for.
Where possible, we pitch to sponsors and brands in person. This pitch is always tailored to the objectives of the sponsor or brand. Their objectives determine which DCM drivers we shortlist and include in our pitch. Deals can take upwards of 6 months to develop from an initial discussion to a signed contract, so we work hard to maintain a consistently healthy sales pipeline while ensuring we are pitching multiple commercial opportunities for our drivers simultaneously.
Once a deal is secured, DCM takes on the responsibility of project management, delivery and reporting. Our driver is always briefed on his/her responsibilities prior to new contracts being secured and we support our driver as necessary throughout the term of the contract to minimise disruption from their sporting responsibilities.
