Mazda Road To Indy

In September 2015, DCM formed a partnership with Andersen Promotions, which operates the comprehensive driver development series – the Mazda Road to Indy (MRTI) – to assist with the international promotion of the three-tiered ladder system sanctioned by IndyCar Series.

MRTI provides a clearly defined path for junior racing drivers aspiring to compete in the Verizon IndyCar Series – North America’s most advanced and popular single-seater motorsport – with a scholarship funded route to the top echelon of the sport. A growing number of the world’s most talented racing drivers are migrating to MRTI's collective championships, including the 2015 FIA European Formula 3 champion, Felix Rosenqvist, and the 2010 FIA Formula 2 champion, Dean Stoneman.

Having supported Felix Juan Serralles and Raoul Owens to contest the 2015 season with championship winning teams in Indy Lights and the Pro Mazda Champinship, DCM is no stranger to MRTI.

MRTI provides a scholarship at every level with the USF2000 champion receiving a prize of over $381,000 USD to advance to Pro Mazda in 2016, the Pro Mazda champion receiving over $590,000 to graduate to Indy Lights, and the Indy Lights champion receiving a scholarship of over $1million with a guaranteed three-race programme in the Verizon IndyCar Series, including the Indy 500. In total, over $2.3million in season-ending prizes and awards were on offer in 2015.

"DCM has made another stride towards its commitment to fast-track the career development of junior talents. Drivers of all levels and nationalities approach DCM for career advice throughout the year and our partnership with Andersen Promotions enables us to provide more support and guidance than ever before for those considering the Mazda Road to Indy"

Peter Jones, President of DCM

"We had drivers representing 15 countries on the grids for our season finale in 2015, which underscores the global appeal of the Mazda Road to Indy. Partnering with DCM will allow us to not only expand the word internationally about our ladder system, but provide interested drivers with a cost-free consultation service as they decide the next step in their careers including introductions to our teams and help in the transition to a new country with logistical items such as Visas."

Dan Andersen, CEO of Andersen Promotions

DCM is providing assistance for foreign drivers interested in entering MRTI in 2017. We will be able to organise private test days with available teams and welcome drivers to attend a MRTI race weekend with our staff during the course of the 2016 season.
